It took a while to realize but I finally understood the concept of “as a man thinketh, so is he”. And also “whatsoever things are good, think on those things”. Our thinking is our faith.
I started a new practice of gathering my thoughts concerning each situation in my life. I sometimes caught myself saying things like “man, I’m so tired” and one day I said NO I’M NOT! I wasn’t tired at all, I was simply bored so I started paying attention to my mindset there.
As an entrepreneur I have had many strange encounters. Some were just bad overall while others were just annoying (because of the situation). The solution is NOT to stop working but rather to find the good. Eat the meat and leave the bones.
Here’s what I choose to do now. I am so overwhelmed by the responses and love I’ve received as an artist. Logging on to social media and seeing work/photos pushing people forward. It’s an amazing feeling. I choose to remember those things. I think about being a child using wallpaper, glue and white rice to make birthday banners and signs for the family.
My mind starts to go back to moments in times past where I literally felt stuck and at my end, yet I somehow found a hidden path (a way out of no way) to take that led me to my next. I express my gratitude for all of the phases that I have experienced in my life and suddenly the emptiness and confusion is GONE! My freedom often comes from remembering how I overcame in the past.
I encourage you to start remembering the good. Yes, life happens sometimes. When it does,,, Think On Good Things!
